Hey guys! Great episode!! Such a fun batch of questions. Wanted to chime in on leather care quick.

Shell cordovan: very true that it is as close as it gets to zero maintenance in the leather world. That said, when you want to care for it, and I would suggest doing so once or twice a year based on use, I’d recommend Saphir Cordovan Creme. It’s specially made for cordovan, and does a beautiful job caring for the unique characteristics of cordovan.

Non-cordovan vegetable-tanned leather: I couldn’t recommend a simple product more than I recommend Smith’s Leather balm - so much so that I sell it in my own online shop. It’s all-natural, smells beautiful, and does an amazing job caring for veg tan leather.

Chrome-tanned leather: neatsfoot oil or mink oil works great!

Regardless of how much it seems like leather products do or do not require care, if you do in fact care for them, you’ll be blown away by how long they really can last.

Cheers, and sorry for the long comment!

Alex

Great show as always. Makes me want to go to an island and go diving (and to tonight's book signing). I love it when Jason reminisces about my favorite products. Last time it was my F3/T, this time my old CJ-7 (oh, the things I did in that Jeep). Next up I'll be expecting to hear about our shared joys such as driving an Alfa Romeo (top down on a cold fall day), racing tactics on a velodrome, or why learning another language can change your life.

Loving the weekly episodes. Usually listen on my Saturday morning walk. Keep the plugs going for the Tudor Pelagos. I was lucky enough to get one on my wedding day last year from my wife. Its just an awesome watch.

Just a few minutes in so sorry if I post multiple comments. Like James and Jason I am a car guy and appreciate the simple approach. My preference however is more on road and I bought the "Defender" of roadsters the NA Miata. For my lifestyle the Miata is THE weekend car. When I want to go off road I will stick with the modern stuff. Next on my radar is a Bronco Sport.

Miata is the answer to many of life's questions. Great choice.

Hey there. Just wanted to chime in.

I am actually a watch nerd to my core, will only read books about watches, I scour HODINKEE for hours on end and only listen to watch podcasts.

I'm only writing because all that being said I am an only one watch guy. I have tudor black bay heritage 79230N in all steel.

I am only 30 but have had about 36 watches in my life. Every time I get a new one I have to sell my previous, because something about only one watch to share all memories with you sounds so special to me.

I got the Tudor black bay about a month ago for my 30th and plan for it to be my only watch for the rest of my life to accompany me on all adventures and milestones. Or at least until I can afford a better grail lol.

Hard to beat the Tudor as a one-watch option.

Great episode guys. Congratulations on 150 episodes 👏🏻

I actually do “live” the one watch approach with a Tudor BB58 Blue. It’s great really great. Admittedly, I have my grandfathers vintage Omega Geneva in gold for weddings etc. but everyday I wear the Tudor. I sold four watches, a Speedmaster included, because I just wanted to do the one watch in steel and I have zero regrets. I wear the watch hunting, to the office and as a father of a small daughter. It takes everything and just runs smoothly.

Hi guys, enjoyed your show, one question, what do you about new Descent MK2S release and how smaller form factor will affect usability of the watch particularly for diving in comparison to 52 inch model? Thanks a lot for your thoughts
