This is a special bonus episode of The Grey NATO brought to you by Collective Horology and their new collaboration with Armin Strom – The Gravity Equal Force P.03 for Collective. Earlier this year, the folks at Collective reached out to see if we had any ideas for helping them promote the launch of their new Armin Strom collaboration. The result is this, a free bonus episode for the entire TGN audience featuring an enjoyable chat with Collective Horology’s Asher Rapkin to learn more about Collective, their latest limited edition, and then finish with a seriously fun draft of adventurous high-end watches.
This was one of my all-time favorite episodes. Asher was a fantastic, engaging, really-good-at-explaining-complicated-topics, passionate guest. Love the new idea as well. Let’s get more for sure and get Asher back on!!
Great episode guys! Ulysse Nardin was never on my radar until now. Although outside my watch budget at retail they do look intriguing on the preowned market.
Regarding Collective Horology they do release more ‘affordable’ watches from time to time, as was hinted. Their IWC Pilot’s Chronograph C.03 is an absolutely stunning watch.
Loved this episode. So much fun! Surprised Jason went with the IWC perpetual top gun since I thought you didn’t like the IWC hands lol. The IWC Lewis Hamilton would be a fun one too.
Would love a similar one with vintage fancy dive watches. Blancpain fifty fathoms Barakuda (the original from 1960s, military issued preferably) is my all time favorite.
Hey gents! I thought this was one of your more fun episodes. Granted, I am a fan of all the episodes but this had a sense of whimsical fun and an authentic take on watches we love to dream of. Great edition by having Asher on. Cheers!
I was a bit concerned about this being a sponsored episode, but I genuinely enjoyed it. Even though the price point of the new watch is outside of the normal TGN space, Asher the guest is right at home here. He's obviously a watch nerd like the rest of us, and I found his personality to fit in really well with James' and Jason's. Bring Asher back sometime soon; I thought he was great on the show!
I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Although not deep in the TGN wheelhouse, I didn't think it was out of character for the show. And with a clearly marked sponsored episode, you can easily skip it if its not your cup of tea, vs. having to sit through (skip) ads in the middle of the show. Sponsored or not, I had fun with this one. I was honestly surprised James' VC Everest watch didn't come out earlier though...
Awesome episode guys and I'm extremely grateful to Collective Horology for supporting TGN. The more resource and support the show has the more I get to listen - which is always one of the best parts of my week.
Interesting experiment guys. I think it worked because Asher is pretty charming. He set a high bar for future sponsors/guests.
Really great episode. Love that AP, think I’d have to throw in the VC 222

Really liked this. Great way to fit in sponsors.
This is a great way to go about sponsored content-thanks guys!

Wasn't expecting to like this episode but was pleasantly surprised. It's always nice to peer into First Class every once in a while.
Guest Request - Can we please have Adrian Barker from Bark and Jack on

Too true. Which is why I have more than my share of Casio watches!😂
The collective “oof” at the Ressence pick took the cake. That watch wins this draft.
Great episode and really enjoyed the draft. Now, to learn more about Collective Horology!
