This is a special bonus episode of The Grey NATO brought to you by Collective Horology and their new collaboration with Armin Strom – The Gravity Equal Force P.03 for Collective. Earlier this year, the folks at Collective reached out to see if we had any ideas for helping them promote the launch of their new Armin Strom collaboration. The result is this, a free bonus episode for the entire TGN audience featuring an enjoyable chat with Collective Horology’s Asher Rapkin to learn more about Collective, their latest limited edition, and then finish with a seriously fun draft of adventurous high-end watches.
And now, a bit about the watch, which is not your usual Armin Strom. In working with Collective Horology, this limited edition model offers an adventurous take on the Gravity Equal Force that draws inspiration from the world of technical outdoor equipment. Sporting a 41mm titanium case, the Gravity Equal Force P.03 for Collective channels the great outdoors with a khaki green fumé dial, luminous markings, a tech-derived patterning for the black movement plate, and ruthenium-coated bridges with a special cut-out design.
Powered by Armin Strom’s automatic ASB19 movement, the P.03 for Collective is the first titanium model for the line and is limited to just 30 pieces. For more information, please visit Collective Horology.
A huge thank you to Asher and Gabe at Collective for the support and especially to Asher for being a great guest and a talented drafter. We hope you all love the episode! Please hit the comments and let us know what adventurous high-end watches you would draft (the sky is the limit!).

Gents,
Perhaps it’s my own prejudice as a kid who grew up in a blue collar family, but when you start talking about a watch that is a limited production and costs $26K, you lost me.
I think your guest sounded like a cool guy and having lived in Simi Valley, I know Ventura is a cool place, but their program is tuned more to Santa Barbara, Malibu or Pacific Palisades residents than Ventura.
When you start talking about draft choices that belong in the world of super yachts and G5 private jets, you definitely move so far away from my world of old Seikos, Marathons, and black acrylic watches that I couldn’t finish the episode.
I get it that you have to pay the bills and I hope the session produced a hefty donation to TGN. If so, we’ll done. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.
I hope I am not (as we used to say at Ft. Bragg) coming in too loud, too often and too stupid.
Cheers,
JR
As a from the beginning TGN listener - never thought my Fears Brunswick Salmon which is my ‘I have to go to a wedding’ watch would ever come up in a TGN episode. Enjoyed the draft. And I get the comments that say that is probably outside the scope of TGN in terms of cost but as appreciators of watches even if won’t ever buy them - the technical prowess of the Armin Strom watch and the other watches mentioned are just cool.
