The TGN boys are back from winter break and they are kicking off the new year with an introspective chat about their goals, dreams, and aspirations for the new year and for another year or TGN.
Happy New Year everyone! This was a great episode and very relatable. I actually watched a similar youtube video of a guy building a cabin in 2 years, and it was absolutely mesmerizing. I will have to give this one a watch as well.
I can also relate with James regarding COD Mobile. I gave it a shot and instantly was all-in. I try to not play it much anymore, but every now and then sneak in a game or two. It's surprisingly good.
This was a really interesting episode. I'm glad to hear that you're reassessing, James. A few times during the year it seemed like you were everywhere with TGN, Hodinkee, Hodinkee Radio, other podcasts etc and I could only imagine that you were getting smashed by it all.
To Jason's point about smaller communities rather than social media, I think that's a trend that has been picking up speed. People seem to be moving into Whatsapp/signal groups, discord etc. The TGN slack is the fantastic - it's definitely a lot like what the internet was Back In The Day: a small bunch of people gathered together by a topic who slowly develop relationships. It's really neat. On the one hand I want it to keep growing to suppoet you guys, but on the other I hope it never gets so big that it starts to lose the magic.
As an aside, I've also been wearing my recently acquired Ti Diver One almost exclusively over the break. Such a killer watch.
Belated happy new year wishes to the TGN community!

I love these kind of episodes.
