First off, thanks, Cole, for sitting in for me. This was an amazing episode that I thoroughly enjoyed listening to, "as a civilian" for a change. Such a breadth of topics covered, exciting and adventuresome. Bravo, guys!
1. You have to appreciate the reliability of a Toyota in place of the coolness factor of a Wrangler or older truck? I'd still be driving my 1st Gen 4Runner if it had airbags (1989, 3L, manual). Drove it for 15 years and the oil still looked like apple juice after 3000 miles on the 230K engine. Had to upgrade to the modern 5th generation 4R for the safety. Ask your local trauma surgeon how her life has changed in the last 20 years with the addition of airbags? I know... boring... but I'd like to keep hearing all of your adventure stories for the next 50 years.
2. The coolest BMX bike that came to mind was the PK Ripper. (Perry Kramer)
PK Ripper, dude! I haven’t heard that name since I was in my preteens! The coolest kid in school had a PK Ripper and another had a Quadangle. I had a red Diamond Back with yellow Skyway rims. Man, too go back to simpler times 😎
‘Life without guard rails’ perfectly describes living and working in that part of the world. CP’s tale of traveling on (over?) the Thai/Myanmar border made me laugh thinking back to my own travels there in 1998. Great show gents!
Excellent Episode. So much nostalgia! SRT4! I don't think any of us would be mad if you made Cole the de facto substitute host. Those patch pouches are wicked cool, too.
Guys, love the everything, I'll start off with that. Also... I realize there's a bunch of good reasons not to, but I bet there's some pent up demand for video versions of these episodes. Like I say, good reasons not to add a few more dimensions to the editing process, but hey, I'm a visual creature too. I don't think 4k is necessary, we can all survive with whatever resolution yall use to interact with each other every week.
I strongly recommend the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum. Was there back in May and their collection is absolutely amazing, to include a lot of JDM models.
I'm driving a 2021 4Runner TRD Off Road now. In a perfect world I wish they would bring the Fortuner model to the U.S., I think it's more or less an SUV version of the Hilux.
Listening still, but Cole should look at the new Bronco's if he is looking for another Jeep competitor. Also love SLC. Trying to convince my wife to move there now that we can work remote. Great desert, awesome skiing, hiking, biking. Still cheap compared to Colorado. Weird booze laws but the older I get the less I care about it.
Had the chance to see the Bronco in action at EAA Airventure this week. It's even cooler in person and seemed really capable on the short rock and incline course they set up. 2023 can't come soon enough...

Jason your talking watches segment was excellent!
Great show as always!

Welcome to SLC region Cole! A local destination that you will enjoy is the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum… https://landcruiserhm.com/

Another fun episode, thanks!
Hmm I might be in the same boat wrangler or 4Runner hmmm or 90s land cruiser.
Digging the P&T hat getting some overseas love! They’re great hats. Great episode!
Cole has to be featured more often!
Pumped to have Cole back on the show! Great episode guys.
What, no link to Crocs?
Would have required me seeing a photo of Crocs :)
Winning comment of the week, bravo sir

Also just finished my diving certification. Definitely inspired from TGN to actually pursue it.
Congrats!! Stay engaged, continue learning, and it'll change your life and show you the most amazing things.

I miss my 4Runner very much, had to move to the Tundra for towing, but miss the agility of the 4R.
Would love to see Cole and Gishani both Together on an episode of TGN.
When my dad was a commercial fisherman, they wore https://www.xtratuf.com/ shoes. Could be a great maritime alternative for Cole instead of crocs!
