Longines did make a version of the Omega pilot watch seen in Dunkirk. The 36mm reissue was made during the 90’s and it was limited to Japan. The bezel is a second-setting Weems style watch.

I was hoping for Keanu Reeves' square Casio G-Shock DW-5600C-1V from Speed. Seems exactly like what a young LAPD officer might have been wearing in 1994. (Or, frankly, today.)

I loved the discussion of appropriate watches that add to our understanding of the character -- Borne, Kurtz, Willard, etc. Great ep!

In Robert Ludlum's Bourne Identity novel (1980), Bourne pawned a gold Girard-Perregaux that he lifted off someone for a Seiko chronograph and 800 francs. Ludlum writes "Everything had a value in relationship to its practicality; the chronograph was shockproof."

Episode was great fun with great picks.

My addition would be the Seiko 6309 worn by actor Ed Harris' character, Virgil "Bud" Brigman, the foreman for the roughnecks on a submersible oil drilling platform. A James Cameron film - who is always a "watch guy" - shot a lot of real underwater action scenes.

The 6309 was my first dive watch so I greatly appreciated its placement on an 'everyman' working diver.

Great episode guys (as always)

The Bond film with the golden Seiko tuna (7549) is For Your Eyes Only - it's has some weird scenes (haven't they all) but it's one of my favourite Roger Moore Bond films

I would also like to give a movie watch shout out to this terrific watch worn by Brad Pitt in Moneyball. Pre-dating the movie, this watch model was also gifted to me by wife the night before we got married, so it gets my double-thumbs up.
