Hi Guys! I'm a new subscriber and listener of The Grey Nato. I recently purchased a few new watches (3 Hamiltons, and 2 Christoper Wards). Love everything about your show! Thanks for everything that you do!
I've built a SRP turtle with nh34. I love using 24-hour hand to track soak time of my laundry and is helpful when potty training my son too.
I've started use quickly spring bars on natos now. You can release it when YOU want and you won't have a spring bar pop out when you hit your watch in something. I've had it pop out before quite a few times and this stopped that. If you place the release under the NATO it will not catch the NATO nor rub your wrist.
My own esoteric timing bezel use: I’ve directed bike race documentaries that require the following of an athlete through a 100mile race course, a “making it up as you go along” process of intercepting the athlete multiple times along a course. I zero the bezel every time I intercept and see my athlete, then when pulling off course to route to another intercept point, I know the elapsed time since last interception. With experience as to the average speed of the athlete, I’m then able to know how far along the course I could safely get in for another interception without missing the athlete. Added benefit of being able to call out to slower riders with a “time gap” between them and the front pack.
