Excited to see what Citizen has in store with the 9075. I've been hoping for a 24 hour bezel version of the Promaster Challenge Diver since the movement was announced. Also excited to see the Lorier Hydra and Hyperion coming up soon with the 9075 as well.
It’s funny, I just heard a podcast that mentioned the USS Samuel B. Roberts (DE-413). Adm. James Stavrids in his book To Risk It All: Nine Conflicts and the Crucible of Decision talks about the captain of Sammy and his brave decisions on that battle.
Critics of Seiko’s price point are forgetting that for years they have been underpricing their watches, hence the mentality that they are affordable and always punch above their price point. If the materials are good, and without any of the usual misalignments, I don’t see why they can’t charge more.
Another great episode. James, good luck on the move! My wife and I have moved more than once (over a dozen times!) and even an uneventful move is not without drama!
The story of Omega’s releases was great though it made me sad that Omega is not outside my price range. On the other hand, while I may never see a Tudor FXD in the wild, the MN and the new carbon FXD look like watches worth lusting after and saving up to buy.
I am especially pleased you mentioned Vaer. They are a US company making great products at a fair price. I own two (a D5 and a C3) and both are well made watches.
