I'd go with a no date Submariner # 124060 ($9100) and a Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic ($775) for a total of $9875. Yeah, I know, I'll likely need to wait quite a while to get the call from my AD to get the Submariner at MSRP, but I can be patient.
My choice would be Explorer II 16570 but i would go for black dial (found one from 98 with papers on GreyandPatina cost $8650) and Seiko SPB143 (retail $1200). A GMT and a diver, that’s all i need! Cheers!
I enjoyed this challenge as I am a two watch guy. Nowhere near the 10K mark but the thought process applies nonetheless. I am in at $2900 with my 2254.50 Seamaster and my quartz CWC diver.
High would be used Zenith Chronomaster Sport on the bracelet at around $9500, and low would be something oddball like the new Timex Expedition North watch, at $250, to wear outside.
So my high would be the Santos Chronograph. One of my grail watches, at $9750. And the low would be a Momentum Wayfinder GMT 40mm in blue at $250. Not the greatest delta, but on the 10K budget. Slainte!
I’d buy a Rolex GMT 126710 BLRO and wear an elastic band as my #2 watch. I would only need one.
My choices are a Lyrique Etude No. 2 for 9,000chf and a Scurfa diver.

Absolutely the Seamaster Diver 300M NTTD but with a Seiko "5KX" SSK003 GMT.

The Timex Expedition North Titanium Automatic would be a great "low" choice!
