Great episode!! We know what to expect from the first TGN watch! Thin titanium monnin case around 40mm, Matt dial with sword hands, some GMT function with 60 click bezel and interesting (possibly quartz) movement. #signmeup

I feel like a slightly more practical, and flexible, way to do James' concept would be to have a separate crown, like a Seiko Alpinist or a compressor style case. It would be easier to go back and forth in time (not a huge deal for James, but I imagine Europeans traveling to the US or people traveling from Asia to Europe might care) and it would be a lot easier to keep the case waterproof. You could even make it screw down.

Regarding Jason's idea, I'd also suggest a Citizen A0600 (as used in their GS competitors). It has a perpetual calendar, jumping local hour hand, and is solar powered. If you aren't moving between time zones, you'd only have to touch the crown for DST. That's the only way to make a more practical diver than one powered by a 9F, at least for me. Either way, I'd buy Jason's diver in a heartbeat.

Super fun episode. Of course, now James needs to do his famous Photoshop mockups...

James, I know it's a fantasy movement, but would the bezel keep going around infinitely, or would you eventually have to go back the other way to "reset" it?

Jason, I'm jealous and would be interested in a recap of your rebreather experience. I have looked around and it is hard to find a dive shop that does rebreather courses for recreational divers. Not something that has a lot of need for recreation, but it's always been on my bucket list.

If there was a TGN collab watch I am sure they would sell, but agree the branding should be on the case back.

A TGN x Scurfa watch would incredible... I agree that collab products are tiring but I think you guys could cook something up. As you said, not just a logo slapped on an existing watch.

Jason count me in on the first 500 of your watch design, loved it! You had me right there, building your watch in my mind the entire time. Bravo! What a fascinating episode. Safe travels to both of you guys in the few days and weeks!

Oh by the way, would both of you be so kind to put the specs of both of your watches in the notes?

I’m down with either concept but would request a case of 39mm lug to lug no larger than 47mm.

James’ “one clockwise click per hour advanced” bezel should be either 5 clicks (corresponding with distance between two hour markers) or 2 clicks (allows for .5h time differences).
