This week we’re back with two chats recorded at Windup Chicago featuring our old friend Mike Pearson (who now works with Zodiac Watches) and Wesley Smith of Standard H (a clothing brand and also an excellent podcast).
I've heard Mike Pearson a couple times now, and his personality really does make me wanna try out a Zodiac, didn't realize this was the same person that introduced James and Jason
I 'm between a medium and large and ordered a large, but it wears kinda tight (anyone else?), so I would maybe suggest going up a size. The pin also damaged both my stickers a little. But alas my kerchiefs are okay. Maybe I'll take them on an adventure so I can lose enough weight to wear the shirt. HAHA
While I haven't handled the Standard H stuff I will say I own a merino T that's more than $75 and it's worth every penny, you'd be amazed how material, fit, and finish translates outside of the world of watches just as easily, anything more than a $25 casio is the definition of stupid, etc. To each their own
Great episode! Mike definitely seems like the kind of guy you'd want to have a few beers with at the local pub. Wesley also seems like a stellar guy. I was checking out the standard-h site (I hope get gets the hydrogen bastards) and one thing that I don't think was mentioned during the show was his travel page. He has a TON of travel information for both domestic and international locations. I'm heading to Hawaii at the end of the year and I plan on hitting up many of the locations he mentioned on the site.

Sounds like all the chats from Windup were an awesome time! Enjoy the summer break guys 🏝

It was nice to hear Mike again. I met him when he first came to Mpls while he was with Bremont. I had no idea that he had moved back to the States.
I still want one of those "watermelon" Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Compressions (ZO9269). I love that colorway.
Aww man! 2 weeks off? Looks like I’m gonna replay some old episodes to get my fix.
A $75 t-shirt is the definition of stupid.

Well maybe if it is woven from maiden hair.

didn't know about the travel info on his site, thanks!
Another great episode!
Gents,
Another brilliant episode.
I hope Mike Pearson takes a Zodiac road show to the Southwest. His enthusiasm is infectious.
While I don’t have any of Wesley’s kit, his Standard H podcast is on my “must listen” list.
Thanks again for making my Thursday workout feed my mind as well as my body.
