The Grey NATO – 375 – A Chat With Kim Frank (Explorer, Author, & Filmmaker)
Continuing an amazing year for guests, the TGN Boys are joined in this episode by the explorer, writer, author, and filmmaker Kim Frank. An award-winning writer and multi-media storyteller, Kim’s work includes writing for many notable outlets and authoring several books, including “Elephants in the Hourglass: A Journey of Reckoning and Hope Along the Himalaya”.
Jason and James hopped on a mic with Kim to chat about her start in exploring, her work with The Explorers Club and the Rolex Watch Expeditions program, and her recent project to complete a documentary (“Where The Forest Roars”) about her time experiencing the conflict between elephants and humans in Northeast India. The conversation spans production, in-field experiences, a few watch stories, and even some background on Kim’s special (and modified) FJ40 Land Cruiser.
A huge thank you to Kim for being on today’s episode and to David for making the connection.

Stay in the mix for a Final Notes that will have you diving into a novel legal argument following a docudrama about free diving as you consider your relative need for (yet another) flashlight.
