My wife bought me a Hamilton Khaki Auto 38mm as a birthday gift and while I wouldn’t have bought it myself, I really enjoy rotating it through my modest collection (mostly Seikos). The bracelet is lovely but could use some micro-adjust to get a proper fit.

As an aside, I’m keen to join the supporter Slack but can’t bring myself to as I use Slack so much for work and the thought of logging in during the evening and getting plagued by random work messages fills me with dread. Anyone else have this problem and potentially a solution?

Hi James, I am a big enjoyer of the TGN podcast and appreciated you singing the praises of Band Of Brothers at the end of the pod. I am a huge fan of BoB as well and actually going through a rewatch for the first time in several years. I also came across this podcast as well to pair with the rewatch. It is just outstanding and I highly recommend this too.... https://rephonic.com/podcasts/band-of-brothers-podcast-3

A Hamilton is what got me into watches. My dad wore what I think was a steel or gold plated Hamilton that was almost surely made in Lancaster, PA, not far from where I grew up. I recall having it after he died but I have no idea where it is, which is a drag. I bough my son a beautiful Hamilton Khaki field 38 with date and 24 hour sub numbering and exhibition back when he graduated from high school. He loves it and it keeps great time, better that my vastly more costly IWCs. He's now all into watches. I got a Khaki field mechanical for my son-in-law and he loves it. I don't have one but it's on my list. Great watches.

Another great episode. I couldn’t agree more on your yearning for a bezel. I’m glued to my Tudor Ranger, yet when timing soccer matches I either switch to my Black Bay 79220N or just hack my Ranger to 1200 and push in the crown to get elapsed time. Why can’t we have a clean, legible field watch with a 12,3,6,9 dial AND a bezel? I prayed Tudor released the updated Ranger in that format last spring. Black dial, white hands, bezel. Perfection.
